Troubleshooting:

Thumbnails are being generated automatically via wordpress built-in functionality. There is no need to support timthumb anymore. If you are already using the plugin with images, you will need to regenerate thumbnails (regenerate thumbnails plugin). If you are customizing image-size you will need to regenerate as well!

I tried it using the shortcode but it always goes to the top of the static page even though the shortcode is placed at the bottom of the page.

is there anyway to make it appear where you place the shortcode ?

PS: there is no category option in admin settings

Hi. This could maybe be a style problem. The Slideshow has a float: left; to achieve an absolute width. Check the width of the slideshow to really fit your pages width.
PS: You don’t need an category option. You can decide about every single post/page to be displayed in the Slider using the option area right beneath your Editor.

      Cheers

I’m having the same problem. No matter what width I set the slide show to, the slider displays at the top of the page content. It must be the float: left, but I can’t figure out how to fix it.

I also hacked it to remove the H2 displaying from the post title. It would be nice if this was a feature in the options. Likewise, an option to remove the controls would be great too. I also couldn’t figure out how to NOT display an image. If I didn’t choose an image it still displayed a broken image on the page, so I worked around it by using a 1px image the color of my background.

I basically am after a simple text slider that pulls content from a post category, but all sliders I found require an image. This seems like a great plugin if only I could get it to display where I put it on the page.

Hi, I’ve managed to install the plugin and to paste it in static home page. But unfortunately if the plugin is turned on the comments of the page are turned on too (yes they are disabled by default). If I disable the plugin the comments disable too.

nettes Plugin lässt WordPress im neuen Licht erscheinen. Ich glaube sowieso das WordPress ein stark unterschätztes CMS ist.

Love the plugin…but is there any way to change it so it’s centered? I have it within a box that has rounded corners, but it’s extending outside the curved box and doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing.

    Thanks much.

    Hi, Great slider overall.

If you changed your image display structure to this:

    <a href="“>

    <a href="“>

The plugin will work with multisite installations also. Currently multi-site breaks the image path.

is there a way to have the slider on custom post types?

  9. Rick Lush sagt:

Am having trouble since FCSWP 2.0 but suspect it may be to do with my 3rd party customised theme.

My ’nice-to-have‘ request would be for the “WP-Featured Content Slider Options” to appear under Quick Edit for Posts and Pages.

Not sure whether I prefer the version 2.0 selection method or the old version of selecting by categories.

    Can they be combined somehow?

    Hey.
Danke für dieses schicke Plugin, leider werden in meinem Fall die Featured Posts untereinander über den anderen Blogeinträgen gezeigt. Sieht reichlich bescheiden aus.
    Was habe ich falsch gemacht?

    Hi,

This slideshow does it work pretty well! Thanks to the creator. In order to be perfect, is there a way to fix the page presentation when it is loading?

Slides are mix up on the page before this plugin is 100% loaded.

example on this website : http://www.webzine-dede.com/

    Any idea?

    Thanks

    Jean

    Hey,

Great plugin! I really do love it. I do have one question though. Is there anyway to use „category“ names for slider navigation? I know this changes up the slider greatly and the javascript would need to be tweaked.

    Hey,

Someone can help me with showing post sorted by date?

    Thanks

as you could see on http://www.negaranco.ir , images doesn’t loaded . ( it worked perfectly on localhost ). Hallo!

Super Plugin!

    SG,
    Hallenstein.

Awesome plugin! I tried several others but none worked right. How do I get the slideshow to show up on my home page? I placed it in a post using shortcode. It is the one and only post, so when you type in the URL, it should show up. How can I fix this? Thanks.

  21. Greg sagt:

This is a fantastic plugin. The only thing I would like but can’t figure out is how to make the more recent post display first. I’ve spent hours trying to make this happen. Does anyone have a clue how to do this?

    Thanks
    Greg

Hi. Awesome plugin! I see lots of others have requested a way of ordering the posts in the slideshow.

I too would like to show the latest post first. Please update if you know a fix for this!

    Thank you.

  23. tanuki sagt:

definitely would love to know how to order these posts… staggeringly missing feature! hope someone posts a solution…

  24. macselite sagt:

Hi, love the plugin. I just have one little problem. I am only featuring pages of my WordPress site in the slider, not blog posts (not sure if that matters). Everything works great except the height of the excerpt of the text of the page that is included on the slider is higher than it should be. It goes past the navigation buttons almost to the bottom of the slider. I woud like the excerpt of the text of the page to stop above the navigation buttons so people can see them and use them. How do I fix this?

    TIA

This is an excellent plugin. Hats of to the creators. I had implemented it on my side. But i want it only on my home page not on other pages. How can i do that?
